Patreon

Patreon:

Patreon is a US-based membership platform that provides tools for content creators to run a subscription service. It enables content creators and artists to earn recurring income by offering perks and rewards to their subscribers. Patreon charges a commission fee of 5 to 12 percent of the creators’ monthly income, depending on the chosen package, plus a payment processing fee.

The system is used by a variety of content creators, such as YouTube video producers, webcomic artists, bloggers, podcasters, musicians, adult content producers, etc. It allows content creators to receive funding directly from their fans, called patrons, on a recurring or per-artwork basis.

According to www.backlinco.com, Patreon currently has over 6 million active users.
